I’m working on a pretty big project with wook (one of the greatest modders of the symbian scene), which is:
importing the menu from N97! 🙂 That means no bugs in the tapping (hopefully), and the possibility to change the grid of the icons (4×4 icons mod!) 😉

At the moment nothing works, but we’re trying hard to give it a chance…and if we manage to do this, who knows, maybe some more things could be ported 🙂
I’ll keep you updated about this 😉

Hi faenil, I wanna ask if you can do something with the most annoying thing in symbian on our phone … it happens that you wanna use 3G internet connection (in opera for exaple) but phone shows you only wifi connection and you have to (im my case) run from LBS a GPS+ to download sattelite position which is only possible with 3G connection and when you do so then you can go to opera and when asking for connection then it shows you 3G too … I hate doing this every day… hope you understand what I mean 🙂

You already have the opportunity to select the 3g connection directly in the browser, when it shows you the connections list if you want to use a different connection you have to tap on “Options” and then on “Select an access point” and here you can select another connection between the ones that you have saved.

This is not a solution, first – I dont wanna switch connections in browser (at home I use wifi, in the city 3G) it is annoying as I said, second – Not all programs do have such possibility to choose pernament connection … All I want is when the system is asking for connection to see and choose between 3G and wifi (I dont get it why is 3G missing sometimes), I dont wanna do procedure as I wrote before … that is why I am asking Faenil if it is possible to do something with that. I know a lot of people have the same problem and maybe it is a bug of CFW.

        1. Then use system feature and define your access points properly and set as default only Internet as a group. On mine Opera is not asking for anything and is using wifi when available and 3g when there’s no trusted wifi connection. All that without asking anything. Opera (mobile and mini) is set to use system default connection.
