New n2o is coming, make your requests before it is too late!!!

After the exciting results of the polls about the LITv2 (28 of you liked the rom, only 2 didn’t!!! thanks guys^^) I decided to start a new version…which is a fast edition of the V2 Fixed!!

It will have the Universal Hybrid theme, and the same kastor effects of V2 Fixed…

and same icons in the lower part…

But you can make your requests in the comments and I will read and consider everything you write, I promise! ^_^

  1. Cool man may you add the latest updates of Quickoffice and adobe flash.

    I can’t do that for a matter of licences I think…and flashlite still causes bug on widget mode, we can’t use it…use skyfire for flash 😉

  2. IMO you have to leave only UNIVERSAL theme…so everyone can install any theme they like.(only one theme means more space on C – GOOD IMPRESSION ;-).)
    l don’t know if it’s just me ,but l can not edit .txt files with V1 AND V2…something’s wrong..anyway l’m telling you one more time that u did a good job! thanks!

    Edit:try to not overckooked the firmware because many people appreciate this!!

  3. Hi faenil.
    If it’s a speed release that your building I’d suggest taking it to the bare bones of the system.
    Get shot of ALL the default built in app’s, all the games, that useless pile of plop they call photo contacts, converter, smart reader etc and leave a blank canvas with built in rompatcher to let us install the app’s we want.
    The vast majority of us know, or already have, the app’s we want on our phones. The rest of it just sits there taking up space.
    Obviously leave in the stuff that makes the phone ‘work’ like compass, (for GPS), and fixed camera/video 😉 but shred the rest.
    Just an idea. 😀

  5. wow! I think this firmware better than HyperX v3-19 I had tested cheer. But I’m from Viet Nam vietnamese for web not good. Next firmware I hope you add many softs and improve graphic thank! sorry I speak English in’t good.

  6. ciao andrea potresti integrare la fullpage-navbar come il satio ed il mymedia che si trova già in Z da quanto ho visto,no photocontact e no task3d, le 4 icone in basso lasciale troppo belle ma quelle dela V2 perchè ho visto uno screen prima e non erano quelle,forse erano della V1,per il resto mi fido di te….potresti dare un’occhiata al dizionario perchè non rileva le altre lingue se vuoi cambiare appunto il “dizionario” e poi nei video a rallentatore quando stai per riprendere sembra con riesca a mettere a fuoco e la registrazione parte con molto ritardo mentre per quelli accelerati tutto ok ma questo è solo per trovare il pelo nell’uovo…hihihi 🙂

    per mymedia lo trovo abbastanza inutile per cui non penso di includerlo nella n2o…
    per le icone, ci sono 😉 sono belle eh? 🙂
    per il dizionario, non ho capito bene qual’è il problema…il dizionario una volta cancellato deve essere rimesso dal sito samsung, nella mia rom non c’è, non c’è in nessuna rom….
    per i video a rallentatore, la causa di quel problema è il prefocus già me ne ero accorto 😉 per chi vuole fare i video a rallentatore deve disabilitare il prefocus

  7. Hi Andrea, everything is fine with your firmware sofar, I only have 2 suggestions:
    1) The operator icon should have the background transparent, or the original is better…
    2) Please do not eliminate “smart search” from the original programs, it is very helpful…

    1) Operators cannot be done with transparent backgroun as I know… ^^
    2) Most people don’t use it…it won’t be in the n2o, maybe it will be in the next release of the full version (after Easter) if many people need it… 😉

  9. ciao! possibile non ci sia davvero nulla da fare per velocizzare il processo di “composizione” della foto..?x evitare il rischio “mosso”?

    è una cosa che da molto fastidio anche a me…però al momento non so che fare… 🙁 mi dispiace…
    bisognerebbe vedere se in alcuni firmware è più veloce in altri meno, e fare delle prove…

  13. Hey is it possible for you to have these …upgrades… built-in?

    1. Disable Contacts rotation when writing sms in landscape (http://tinyurl.com/y9pvhwk)
    2. Hold down “0” for Opera Mobile (http://tinyurl.com/y98tycb)
    3. Have the latest Ovi Maps installed (v3.03(54) is the latest that works for I8910 I think)

  14. @ OTD ~ You can download Opera Mobile yourself so why build it in to a speed release so that everyone has to have it? 😕

    Speed releases should be minimal with tweaks and those things that make the phone perform faster and better. Not bloating it with as much software as possible.

    (and yes ….I do use Opera Mobile! 😉 ).

    He just wants me to introduce the tweak to open opera with 0 button instead of standard browser..

  16. I just want to suggest that you should try to avoid over-cooking even with the speed version.
    There are over-cooked ROMs available already. So, there will not much difference remain. Majority of users don’t hesitate using over-cooked ROMs like HyperX. But there are few guys like me who wants to have best of both worlds. 😛

    I have always been avoiding custom ROMs but the stuff you have made is mouth watering. I can’t wait to flash my phone. Just need some spare time to do the whole process. 🙂

    Keep up the good work. This is so amazing to see how you all cookers out there giving this device a new life every week. 😉

  17. another thing…like l told u yesterday…try to put only variec.dll from VIVAZ…videocodec by Samsung is better- image quality in video has more brightness and sharpness, with original videocodec the phone makes more contrast on the video!This is for sure,l did a lot of tests- because l’m a fanatic of video and pics(the reason for buying i8910!!!)

    I can’t make all the tests now to ensure that you’re right…I’m forced to keep the same settings…
    I’ll give it a look for the next release…I don’t have time to test at the moment…sorry

  19. Great work 🙂 I’m glad that you used C1 Hong Kong China FW 🙂 could you use scrolling effect in gallery like in kannan custom rom, and some new screen rotation effect. Is it possible to remove transparency bug when you open settings submenu on symbian logo? If it can help bug is gone when you disable theme effect…
    You gave some new colours to our phone, great taste 🙂 😛

Well like this enable theme effects, tnen enter the menu, and press options (sorry my mistake it is options not settings 🙁 ) then on top of this pop up menu is symbian logo and it has white background wich should be transparent. When you touch anything on menu transparency is gone, same as it is when you disable theme effect.

  22. hi faniel im ur fan.i have a request ….can u plz add qwerty keypad for portrait mode like opera have.or can u plz add to auto turn into full screen qwerty and alphanumeric in portrait mode it will be very helpfull and a nice idea.

  26. Hmm I always thought Ovi Maps client was free! Only the turn-by-turn navigation was subscription, but then they made that free as well!

    Anyways, I understand the Opera thing (it’s not for everyone). But could you leave RoadSync in on the phone? I use email Exchange server a lot and since it is a paid application INCLUDED by Samsung, I don’t want to re-buy the software for something I already paid for.

    RoadSync is there 😉

  28. Hi friend, my wishes are:
    – Very stable and fast firmware.
    – Arabic support ( Menu, reading & writing ).
    – Remove unwanted application.
    – Keep all originals ( themses, sounds and other things ).
    – 24fps video recording.
    – Good quality for photo camera.
    – Good battery.
    – Not over cooked. ( I like it juicy ). :mrgreen:
