Hi guys just want to let you know that hyperx has just released his new rom…

You would probably be wondering “why advertising the rom of another cooker on his blog? ” , well because I think it is a great news for the cooking scene xD

If you want to give a try, delete your n2o2 and go to hx’s 😉 No problems at all from my side 🙂

Really, if you think his roms are better, install them 😀 no problems 🙂

    i want to know ur thinkings abt it..

  6. hi! i love your new rom, its the best. i havent error, nothing. you are the really grand cooker!!! Respect. But i have problem (and many guys) with the battery time. with other roms 72hs, with yours max 24… please fix it. thank you 😳

    anyone who tried n2o2 said he had the best battery life…do you use garmin? do you use 3g?

  12. Nice to see that you’re a man about it and at least showing respect toward him. Shame that it doesn’t flow the other way and he shows some respect for all the hard work you put in.

    Of course, we all try both of your firmwares. We don’t show an allegiance to one or the other. We just want the best system on our phones. That’s natural. But if the cookers, and us the public, can at least get along and stop the bickering then it will be a better scene all round.

    I tested HX, SCX and your roms. Really your FWs and SCX’s FWs are the best and fantastic.
    Lets see HX V4. But let me express my feeling. When I saw night pictures with you FW. I really impressed. Thanks for your great works.
    I beleive that you l publish first Symbian3 FW 😉

    we have to wait for symbian^3 code to be complete at least…it’s not finished yet 😉

  16. I tried both firmwares but returned to the HX one.
    BOTH firmwares are a real pleasure to use, I guess both of you guys faenil and HyperX “borrowed” parts from each other: Both firmwares show identical errors, e. g. with distinguishing “clicks” from scrolling actions in the menus, leading to having to click icons multiple times for an app to start.

    this is because we used the same files…we didn’t create KS MENU, we just took it from Nokia 5800 😉

    I’d love to see you both join your forces instead of working against each other. But on the other hand, big parts of the past disputes were caused by fanboys on both sides, leading to some unpleasant degree of escalation.

    hyperx told many times that he wants to be a “lonely cooker” —> It’s not going to happen, I’m sorry…

    Why did I change back to HX ? – Camera is my favorite application; HX newest firmware does a better JPEG compression, leading to quite better details with objects of similar colors – e. g. foliage, trees, meadows, and so on.

    ok 🙂 your opinion ^^ btw do know that my fw uses “100% compression quality” settings…. –> you can’t go further than this…

    Second reason: Some localization mistakes in faenils Firmware, leading to english measurement units still getting displayed within German-speaking applications like “Standort” (the GPS app in the System folder).

    I have never heard about this problems…I only read on all forums of localized firmwares that my firmwares had less mistakes than hyperx’s ones 🙂
    Could you please provide more details?

    Besides that, I did not notice any major differences. But as great photos are one of my main reasons for buying the i8910, I had to revert to the HX firmware.

    Check this out, guys: Do some photos of forests, meadows, plants or similar, transfer the pictures to your PC and let them display in native (full) resolution. You’ll see that green parts are not displayed in detail – areas of similar color get blended into a single-colored mash without any sharp details.

    faenil: If you get that JPEG compression (and localization) problem solved, this would be a great step forward.

    I must check if those are only your problems before 🙂

    I like to thank both of you for your outstanding work; it’s good to know that there are at least two person we may trust if Samsung follows it’s usual attitude: Continously flooding the market with excellent hardware with NO aftersales software support.

    1st this is having the best image quality
    2nd my battery back up increased 20 %

    i wrote this because some boys r complaining about this. this is not only my opinion but aslo some of the boys in gsmarena.com r happy with the improved battery backup and image quality.

    man absolutely I aint’ got time to try, I’m always working on fw and localizations all my day…but I think ks and camera in n2o2 are almost perfect 😉

  26. I,m using your Portugues rom KS for about 1 Week, and i haven’t NO problems with the battery, no problems at all it’s a kind of booooooring lol.
    my wife have your portuguese rom also NOKS no problems also.

  30. hey faenil did u see that nokia n8… i really liked the orange one.. if its possible to put symbian 3 then i not only hope but pray too that u will be the first person to put it in omnia hd..

    man symbian^3 is not even complete at the moment…you have to wait 5-6 months…

  32. one question… last time when i does the modem update that i done from hyperx website…

    did u give any update to modem… if then where is it… also i still hav bad battery.. dont know why.. maybe if there is a modem that may help..

    no modem update man…which modem are you using? if you don’t use JB1, take that from “Download LITv2” page 😉

  34. For anyone having bad battery experience after fresh flashing:
    Make sure you drained it to the end after the flash and then turn off your phone or let it turn off by itself. Then recharge it to full while phone is off. Do this 2 times in a row so battery could recalibrate properly. Voila…

  37. Well i dont want to shift to Hyperx V4 , I tried the Beta and i simple dont like it . For me The cube widget Homescreen is just useless ugly shit . Well i have my own opinion . Rest the firmware is good . But I am so scared of the restart bug on his firmwares .

    Let me say i have used Hx 2.01 till now everyone and i dont like the bugs especially once the creator says that the bugs are only faced by me and no one else . Neither i am from germany nor i am from italy .

    I WILL FLASH WHATEVER I WANT 😀

    I have tested Rom By Jined and your LitV2 and N202. I love them because i dont face strange bugs . neither i have time to wait for bug fixes
    The shortcut bar which you mentioned is very easy to change , sorry its not that easy to change .

    I have tried changing the icons. I know how to create svg icons but everytime i try to change the smasungtoolbar.mif in c:/data/icons with one i create i get blank and no icons in the samsung widget screen 🙁

    I have a suggestion if you can create a tutorial of how to make this toolbar , please help us, because may be if you dont want to make new toolbar (for example with nokia icons) or any other icons like from Tehk7’s touch icon pack reasons as it is exclusive only in your firmware so no one else uses it there is no problem

    But mate please help us on how to change the toolbar icon . For some one it may not be important but it is the biggest reason i have flashed to this firmware . :mrgreen:

    thanks bro 🙂 I have no idea why your samsungtoolbar.mif should not work 🙁 I made my own just by replacing .svg icons I found on the web , with siscontents157 …
    and it worked at first time…
    so It did when I tried to change them back with original samsung ones…
    maybe you’re not “replacing” icons with siscontents but you’re just importing them with a different name? You should keep the namecode…and everything should go smooth 🙂 let me know 😉

    I’m using HyperX’s firmwares since the first versions and it’s nearly bug free for me 😉 You just have to follow the right procedure 🙄

    Faenil’s firmware will be tested by me today.. I have two i8910HD so I can test the HX-V4 and the n2o2 side by side 🙂

    I’m very interested in the result 😎

    I hope the v4 is…but you can’t say that for all the versions he got out so far

I hve to tell you that i’ve flashed to HX-V4 today (thanks to him for his hard effort), but to tell you the truth i flashed back to your n2o2 after i tested HX-4, no dought about it, your FW felt more stable and almost without bugs (i’m normal user), i’m starting to like your hard work, and exited about your future releases with some new ideas.

    I have flashed my phone more than 40 times and i dont know what i am doing wow. This is the biggest reason i dont write comments , i dont need to start any flaming thing

    I just switched from HX-V4-SPEED-SE to your n2o2 rom, and it feels somehow smoother. So that’s a point for you. 😉
    But I wanted to install UltimateSMS for threaded sms and although it installs, it does not react on any finger presses.
    It did work on the rom from HyperX. Is it possible you could look into it? I will play with it tomorrow, because today I’m partying queensday in Holland. 😎

  50. dude there is vodaphone home screen in hyperx website… will u recommend me that can i put that in my phone or not… also from where to get nokia ovi dubai map… my phone is not complete.. it dont hav navigator.. and these dubai roads r so complicated…
