First piece of news: camera sound –> solution found!

Ok guys there we go…

I’ve been very quiet during the last days coz I have been experimenting and I have had lots of private life things to do 🙂

but…
I finally found the solution for the camera shutter sound which cannot be muted in HongKong JC1!!!

SO —->
IN THE NEXT FW, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CHOOSE WHETER TO KEEP AUTOFOCUS AND SHUTTER SOUNDS, OR MUTE IT (by selecting Silent profile) LIKE ALL THE NORMAL ROMS!! 🙂

I’m very happy I got this solved 🙂

  1. a good news will be the roumanian language in the menu……….

    I’m sorry man I don’t have access to samsung beta fw…and the latest romanian fw is IG4, which VERY OLD…this is why it doesn’t work!!!
    Ask your Romanian Samsung to give you a new firmware with romanian…and I will add it…

  5. Joao Santos: ele refere-se ao SOM do auto-focus + foto, nao de o desligar (panfocus).

    this is off topic but can you please answer me my one query???

    Can i8910 have the Nokia AD-54 support, using which we can play/pause the song from the headset only.
    At least please tell me if it is possible or not. Presently only the Mic and earphone works but the other buttons are unresponsive.

  9. Joao Santos: a maior parte destas ROMs vêm sem a parte do modem (ao contrário das originais). Penso que a mais recente ROM-modem (só modem) é a JB1 e relativamente à trazia o meu i8910 dá MUITO mais sinal de WIFI e GSM/3G. Eu instalei hoje esta do Faenil e parece-me mais estável que a do HX (v3-29). O Faenil nao cozinha demasiado a ROM logo esta é mais estável. Estou a gostar mais desta (a última do HX parece-me que tem MUITOS bugs). Se existe uma ROM-modem JC1 nao estou a par…

  10. Faenil: I tried to install Ovi Maps on your firmware and it IS installed but NO icon! I tried to change ROMpatcher scripts ON/OFF but nothing works, it always says it´s installed but NO icon…

    of course there is one 🙂 you can find GPS softwares in Samsung LBS folder 😉

  11. Caro tuga mmick tudo o que referis-te está certo, eu estava a referir-me ao Modem em separado até agora tenho andadado com as rom’s do Hyperx fui até á V4 Speed SE, e ele optou ás páginas tantas poe separar a Rom do Modem
    para evitar alguns problemas que iam aparecendo com o flashar, o Andy começou então a por na secção goodies os Modem em separado , os quais tu podias flashar quando te desse mais “jeito” eu Flashei o Jb1 e esta semana o Jc1 já com a Rom do Faenil istalada,(tentei flashar o Tlm da minha esposa com o Jc1 e coisa correu mal parou nos 99% e o meu coração tambem 🙁 ,felizmente safei-me).
    A minha pergunta prende-se apenas com a curiusidade poi existem sempre ums “maduros” a afirmar que uma é boa e a outra não, apenas isto.
    Que tal a Rom do nosso amigo Faenil? já estou com ela á uma semana sem um problemas tenho a versão KS a minha esposa tem a versão NOKS está encantada, rapida e estavél pelas razões que apontaste, quanto á bateria não noto diferenças em relação ás rom’s do Andy este faenil tem jeito para isto ainda por cima é simpático e sempre presente para dar uma ajuda ao pessoal, contrasta aqui com frieza do nosso amigo Andy.

  12. é verdade Joao! O faenil (italiano creio) é bastante simpático, o Andy nao e tem um pouco a mania infelizmente. Eu nao experimentei o modem JC1 mas tenho dúvidas que haja muitas diferenças para o JB1 (que é o que tenho). Agora estou com modem JB1 + Faenil 18/04 KS mas NO3D e vou ficar por aqui até a próxima “onda” de FW. Lá para meio/final de Maio a Samsung acho que vai lançar um novo FW e os cookers também daí que prefiro esperar. A partir daqui (já há KS, Rompatcher, câmara a 24fps estável, versoes lite, etc) o i8910 nao vai ter muito para dar (penso) por isso vou ficar com esta por uns tempos. Detesto ter que ficar ás meias-horas para instalar tudo de novo…

  14. ciao faenil.stavo aspettando a riflesh la n2o2 euro in quanto avevo capito che rilasciavi la stessa versione solo ita..credi quindi di farlo nel giro di poco o aspetti come hai detto sopra la meta del mese anche per cmq aggiung e/o modif qlcs?cosi nel caso mi rimetto la euro!grazie della disponibita che hai con i tuoi fan! 😉

    You are working really hard, and the best thing which i like is your quick response to comments. I have few suggestions –

    1. Is it possible to include a feature such that we can manually put focus point by long touch on screen and double tap to take pic.

    2. Can we have inbuilt call recorder.

    3. Can we include online video stream software

    4. Any any chance of enabling SIP client like Nokia does for N97

    5. Multi Touch.

    I know i am asking for too much but i m sure you can do it…Please reply

    1. Online Video stream means … streaming of Omnia High definition camera to web directly.
    2. For Native SIP, Please work on this.. if you can get this i can assure you of hundreds of $$$ as all the people having Omnia want it.. I have seen that interest on my blog.
