Some updates about me :)

Leaving you without updates would be cruel and disrespectful 🙂

In these days, I’m dedicating my time to some minor mods and most of all studying…

On Thursday (or Wednesday) I should have my last exam of this period (next ones will be in February) so I’m a bit busy these days 🙂

But here’s the “what’s coming” part 🙂

– Modded latest swype beta with multilanguage dictionaries splitted in different sis so that you won’t have to install all languages to get only yours (this is almost done but I need some time to create the remaining packages and mod them)

– After the exams, I’ll focus my time on N2O5, which is probably going to be the name of the NEXT FIRMWARE FOR i8910 😉 It should be under ur xmas tree even if I doubt I’ll have time to make that happen 🙂 A new firmware needs A LOT of time, and I’m still working alone on the firmware, I hope you’ll understand what that means 😉

      about the battery: n2o4 has an excellent battery management, just don’t use the flash homescreen if you want to have more battery 😉 that’s what drains much 🙂

      1. AGreed. Although im on “finger use” for the homepage and its still drains. This morning it was fully charged (about 9) and down to two bars by 1, with edge surfing on opera mobile. Dont know if thats normal?? all in all, if anything can be done to improve the battery life, that would be highly appreciated. Like a monitor or something.

    1. swype is inarguably the fastest input method created so far, I’m sorry you do not agree ^^

      Of course, it’s best if used in portrait mode, I would not use it in landscape mode 🙂

      that’s why I’m spending time on it 😉

      Give it a try, wait some days for it to understand which words you use most (first days it will ask for which word almost every time) and tell me it’s not good 😀

        1. omg, why you need a smartphone at all if you don’t need to text someone now and then…

          and Swype is not a waste of time, on the contrary – it really does ease texting re anything on the phone (and not just i8910)

    P.S Per n205 occhio alla velocita e a moddarla poco come era nelle tue prime rom tanto i modi per personalizare il cell non mancano 😉 e poi moddarla meno vuol dire + veloce e legera

    Im just wondering what the best JPEG codecs are best for the phone. of late i keep questioning the images from my phone. i’ve noticed wdr set to on by default is the reason most of my images are washed up. even with that removed, im still not too sure about this. of the 8 codecs on n204, what would you say are your best codecs and for what scenario. Im hoping n205 will have wdr off by default and if possible, have the tap to focus option like the galaxy S.

    1. seems opnly 3 i8910 owners discovered this new version… care to post it somewhere so someone would mod it?

      btw, my .121 is still working fine here, and I can’t even get ‘new’ .206 version anywhere… I’m waiting for Nokia to tell me it’s time to update so I can mod it…

            it tried your modded OVISTORE but i am not able to connect it… it always gave an error “UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE SERVER” eventhough i m trying to connect it through WIFI…

    It works only if your phone ID is set to Nokia (one way or another – via txt, CRE or something else). I’m using CRE files method and it works like a charm here, as I have to switch through Vivaz and N97 for different apps.

            the problem is everyone keeps talking about changing the ID in all cases, while we’re talking about different IDs…
            Ovistore requires a change of BROWSER USERAGENT
            TrackID requires a change of BROWSER USERAGENT
            To install Nokia’s package you need a MANUFACTURER UID change
            To use OviSuite you need some more files and a FW VERSION FILES change…

            they’re all about changing, but we should all stop referring to them with improper names 😉

    and i agree, i wish people would read things before posting…keeps me amused sometimes though!!

    Also looking forward to n205, n204 is an excellent cfw..
