Unfortunately I’m still studying a lot for the next two exams I have to take, so I haven’t had time to give a proper answer to your comments…(keep writing! I read through all the comments! π ), which is what I’ll do here π
First of all, I’m sorry for those of you who are still waiting for support from developers…but I really can’t do anything alone π Some of you also promised money in exchange, but that won’t help unfortunately… π I just can’t realize the dreams I’m writing in the next paragraph..
I don’t think I’ll be able to find a solution to this problems: Skype, Symbian^3 games, android on i8910, greek | bulgarian | romanian | serbian language in MENU…I just want to be clear π
Let me be clear about one more thing: Qt Software for S^3…
Qt Software IS crossplatform, so the code will need few or no changes to be able to deploy it for other platforms, BUT, BUT, BUT, THE CODE NEEDS TO BE RECOMPILED FOR THE DIFFERENT PLATFORM! Let me explain in short words with examples: You have Nokia Bubble’s code (only Nokia has got it), you can compile it for S^3, and it will probably only work on S^3, and you can compile it for S^1, to be able to run it on i8910! It could happen that software compiled for S^3 is retrocompatible, thus working on Symbian^1, but this is not a rule!
I.E. S^3 applications which don’t work on S^1, either needs to be recompiled for Symbian^1, or their code needs to be modified to run on Symbian^1 (i8910). So my advice is to avoid wasting time on making a S^3 app start on S^1…this is only my advice, I’m not a professional, I could be wrong.
OviMaps 3.06: I know nothing about the reasons which prevent it from loading…I feel the chance to realize this is SLIGHTLY more than all the other problems, but I can’t guarantee anything, I really don’t know what to do to solve the ovimaps issue at the moment…
Nokia N8:
Given that we have no RomPatcher for S^3, and that we can’t modify the rofs images (The Z: drive) I don’t feel there any strict need of a new firmware…all mods but the hack are appliable without a modified firmware (just use sis files to apply cenrep mods, or copy files to C:/sys/bin if you have dll or exe mods, such as those from CODeRUS)

I don’t have this device yet, so I don’t even know how it works perfectly…As I already told you in the past, I have coded a software to unpack and repack some of the firmware files, .app, .ffs, .csc, .pfs.
My idea is to write some more code to the application to bring it to at least a BETA stage, once there I’ll RELEASE it to the public!
I think I’ll share some videos about how it works to let you see how easy it is to use! π

yes the layout is just an image, but the corresponding buttons which are pressed when you touch that “area” of the image are hardcoded in the layout files.
so, you can change the layout in the image, but when you press the buttons you’ll still have a qwerty
I see. But for example the difference between russian and ukrainian layouts is just few symbols (‘i’ instead of ‘Ρ’, ‘Ρ’ instead of ‘Ρ’, ‘Ρ’ instead of ‘Ρ’. The image can be edited and hardcoded buttons… maybe we can guess them somehow?
I have no idea how to change the hardcoded layout buttons, that’s the problem π

Hey faenil … after noticing that hyperx is “vanished” i want to ask you something … is it possible to cover the blocking key or to change its value ? I mean for instance: iΒ΄m using slidetounlock, but to unlock the phone i have to unlock it twice. first the standart or build-in keylock then the slideunlock. Is it possible to remove the funktion of the build-in keylock completly or can you make that slideunlock is going to work with i8910 ??? thats my only please or wish. since we all know that symbian is dying i would like to have a small change that makes my device more “tolerable” :D:D:D
Is it possible to change lock key time? Or even make it unlock the screen instantly?
Another thing which makes me @#%@#$% is that info popup like profile changed/item deleted/ charging.. Can you plz make it disapperay WAYYY faster? Or even not pop up?
