So guys here we are….it’s almost betatesting time for n2o5, now I need some betatesters ^^
The first beta is not ready yet, but I need to gather betatesters in the meanwhile 😉
To apply just write a comment telling why I should choose/trust you as a betatester, or send me an email (faenil@i8910tuning.com), and then add the details which you will read in this post.
PLEASE NOTE THAT BETATESTING DOES NOT MEAN USING THE PHONE AS YOU USUALLY DO
Betatesting means:
– Installing all the software you use and look for bugs while you’re using them
– Test all the menus and options of the phone! It takes a lot of time, and patience, but this is necessary.
– Ability to recognise a suspect behaviour of the phone
– There will be multiple betas to test during the betatesting phase, so you have to be ready to format and hardreset your phone each time, you’ll have to make backups, so don’t apply if you have important datas on your phone or if you need your phones to be fully working at all times (for work reasons or whatever)
– If you have already been a betatester for one of my firmwares, write it in your “application form”, you’ll have priority over other people!
– I need betatesters for all the available n2o4 menu languages, so apply even if you don’t know english perfectly, and SPECIFY WHICH MENU LANGUAGE YOU WANT TO TEST N2O5 ON. DO NOTE THAT LANGUAGES WILL NOT BE INCLUDED UNTIL THE LAST BETA, SO MOST BETAS WILL BE ENGLISH ONLY, TO ENSURE SYSTEM STABILITY.
What I meant is: just apply if you have time enough to test the firmware properly, this will make n2o5 a better firmware for everyone 😉
The first beta will NOT include the faenilator, since it’s not finished, but I’m coding a lot these days to bring it to a beta stage as soon as possible 😉 and it’s coming out nice 🙂 I’ll need opinions about that too
Hey Faenil. I m one of ur great fans. I think ur cfw n04 is the most stable firmware out there. But it lacks the smoothness of the Gallery. Moreover, the Gallery and the Music Player takes too much time to load. I hope u have taken care of these bugs in n05.

l’introduzione della hyperx patcher….( visto che son nuovo con questo cell e non sapevo della tua esistenza adesso ho hx v 11-7…che ormai lo conosco bene e posso fare un paragone o darti qualche idea ecc….)
se ti vado bene sono disponibile a darti una mano…tanto già adesso formatto 5 volte a settimana perchè provo tanti programmi 😀
l’unica pecca reale che ho riscontaro è qual cavolo di fruscio nei videoho provato di tutto ma nulla… peccato. ti prego vedi di sistemarla altriemnti nn dormo nemmeno la notte 😀

hai già provato ad abilitare il noise suppressor per il fruscio? (con hxpatcher penso si possa fare, al massimo puoi farlo con il mio faenilator sulla n2o4, ricorda che per partire devi installare Qt)
già provato la suppressor con i vari codec a modificare i paramatri dal menu nascosto ma nulla si migliora un pò ma è proprio snervante avere questo genere di problema su un cell da 400€…sinceramnete la tua faenilator nn ho avuto modo di provarla si risolve?
anche se ho visto in rete che la tuo faenilator dal punto di vista audio/video sia migliore all’hyperx…
cmq ripeto sono a tua disposizione mandamni una mail se ti posso essere utile… ti farei il betatester della lingua italiana :D… ciao ciao fammi sapere

Hello Faenil.. It would be very nice if you would be able to make it possible to show the videos in the standard gallery properly. Pay attention: not in the main menu of the gallery, but in the preview mode -> the mp4 videos are not shown.. I red around that only avi files will be shown there!

When I apply some symbian theme with black keypad and black number box above it, the dialled numbers are almost invisible in dark themes. The color of the numbers remain always black whatever theme u use. Can u fix this, bro??? In nokia phones, we find transparecy effect in the keypad, but in our i8910, this is not present. Or, can we at least have n8 like keypad. It wud look great.

that is a theme bug, the thememaker has to change the color of the numbers in the dialpad.

But mate, the same themes show different colors in nokia phones, why not in i8910??? This bug makes us unable to enjoy Many nice themes from babinokia, Ind190, bandez and others.
ask a thememaker the difference if you want technical details 😉
Mod the themes yourself using SISContents. It’s fairly easy and descripition on how to do it all around the web. Visit devs site for recent build and do browse some forums, or even ask theme moders themselves as I know few are inclined to release i8910 versions that fixes few issues.
I would love to beta test it for you and help and you know that, but I can’t. Almost no free time in this period… 🙁

Because my Omnia-Hd deserves much more love and time than my girlfriend 😀 And i have one phone mobile model i8910, i have a computer with xp-mode, i have a cable for my phone and drivers, I got a hammer and a screwdriver to put it inside the firmware … I’m in English and Portuguese languages for your N2O5, and with professional knowledge in informatics. Visto che ho finito i miei esami (sono quello degli “alberi” in C!) posso esserci come betatester, non ho problemi a formattare più volte il cellulare e non ho problemi a farlo in inglese. Conosco bene i tuoi firmware e ne ho provati diversi prima di passare ai tuoi ottimi N2Ox. Posso installare parecchi programmi e soprattutto dovrei avere tempo per fare il tutto, meno il week end però! Fammi sapere!

i would love to beta test your beta because i have a lot of spare time and use my i8910 several hours per day and would find out bugs very fast.
I make many pictures,many videos and use the gallery,resco photo viewer,spb shell,video player,powermp3,opera mini and mobile and start them all each day.if i can find out that your firmware behaves bad,i will find out.

I just bought my galaxy tab, android is awesome, but, I can’t let my i8910 hd go and even symbian isn’t that bad… Let’s talk about i8910, will the folder delay on home screen be fixed, to no delay? That would be awesome, also. Ovi suite compatibility great achievement, you’re the man, using simplicity, to accomplish great features.

I’ve had the phone a couple of years and i’ve tried many of yours and also HX’s releases so I have a good idea how this all works.
I’m a perfectionist by nature and I’ve already explored and refined every feature of this phone to its limits and I’m excited to see what else might b possible.
I should also mention that i’ve read a good handfull of your posts and I’d really like to play some productive part in this project/

I would love to test your beta n205! If you are short of betatester just tell me and I will do it for you! Anyways I have lot of spare time now as I don’t have college these days (exams going on so they gave us holidays for studying :D)
What I use daily:
Internet apps like fring, opera, Music players: default and ttpod, Games.. lots of them 😀 and most of the offscreen apps also camera/video camera once in two days!
If you have enough of testers please don’t tell me to do it (you know its time taking thing! 😛 but I you need me I am happy to help :))

Ciao Faenil visto che ho un pò di tempo libero vorrei aiutarti facendoti da betatester.Non sono mai stato un tuo betatester in passato ma ti ho scritto un’email con qualche bug che avevo riscontrato con l’n2o4, bug sparite (per il momento) dopo un flash.
Per motivi di studio passo molte ore davanti al pc quindi stai sicuro che comunicheremmo alla svelta ;).
Oltre all’uso prettamente telefonico, uso principalmente fotocamera,navigo su internet con Opera, gps e lettura documenti.
