[N8] H2O Mods pack! Choose the mod you want without flashing! :)

Hi guys πŸ™‚

This post is about a mod pack I have made…the pack includes all the mods from H2O, but it is for people who don’t like all the mods, or they fear to flash their device again or they just can’t do it at the moment πŸ™‚

But, most of all it is for people who would like to make their own mod or just customize mods in H2O…

that’s why this post includes the DOCUMENTATION and explaining about almost all the mods included πŸ™‚

so, here’s the sis file with all the mods, you can choose which mods to install during the installation πŸ˜‰

INSTRUCTIONS :

– ONCE YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE MODS, REMEMBER TO DELETE THE CORRESPONDING .CRE FILE IN C:/PRIVATE/10202BE9/persists/ Β , and then REBOOT. YOU CAN SEE THE NAME OF THE FILE YOU HAVE TO DELETE FROM THE DOCUMENTATION BELOW! FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU WANT TO INSTALL THE GALLERY MOD, INSTALL THE SIS, THEN GO TO C:/PRIVATE/10202BE9/PERSISTS/ AND DELETE 102828AC.cre and 200009FE.cre IF THERE IS ANY!

UPDATE: The instruction above has not to be done if using the latest modpack

COMMON PROBLEMS:

– IF YOU GET “UPDATE ERROR” IT MEANS THAT YOU ARE USING SOME OTHER MODS THAT USES THE SAME FILES! YOU HAVE TO UNISTALL THEM FIRST, IF YOU WANT TO USE MY MODS, OTHERWISE THE PACKAGE CAN’T INSTALL.

  • Dialer landscape mod and SYSAP portrait(2000B195.txt)
ADDED:
0x20009B72 int 327680 16777216 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=WriteDeviceData (DIALER)
0x100058f3 int 65536 16777216 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=WriteDeviceData (SYSAP, to lock startup
and shutdown animations to portrait, to keep their size and aspect)
  • Gallery Folders mod (10282AC.txt and 200009FE.txt)
ADDED excluded folders to 0x2 in 10282AC.txt
and to 0x1XXXX in 200009FE.txt
  • ContinuousAF mod (2001B29B.txt)
Set 0x1E to 1
  • Context data object maximum size (2000B195.txt)
Set 0x1 to 4096
  • MusicPlayer Folders mod (101FFCD2.txt)
Set 0x1 to the folders where you want the musicplayer to look! πŸ™‚
  • MusicPlayer Heap 30Mb (101FFC03.txt)
Set 0x6 to 30
  • Startup/Shutdown animations and sounds mod (101F8763.txt)
Set 0x3 to the startup animation file
Set 0xD to the startup sound
Set 0x12 to the shutdown animation file
Set 0x14 to the shutdown sound
  • Browser’s cache mod (101F8557.txt)
Changed drive in 0x3, 0x4, 0x8 to “D:\..”
Set 0x2, 0x5, 0x9 to 0, to have INFINITE cache
  • Voice Recorder 5Hours at 256kbps! (101F87A3.txt) πŸ™‚
Set 0x6 to 2 to have default High Quality profile set
Set 0x7 and 0x14 to 300, to have 300Minutes (5Hours) of max recording time
Set 0x11 to 288000 to have 256kbps recording (you can also set it to 256000, it’s the same)
  • UiSpeed Mod (10283344.txt)
Set 0x0 to 72, which are the max fps (default was 67, so I think 72 does not change anything,
it was just to try πŸ˜‰ )
Set 0x1 to 90, which is the max % of the cpu time that the UI Server can use (default was 75)
Set 0x4 to 3, which is the Graphic FX quality (kastors quality) default was 8 (maybe), I
lowered this because I think 8 is not needed, and to improve speed

  1. This is great! i really love your CFW, i just want to ask about your full h2o,i cant do the step 8 & 9, where you click firmware update on phoenix, even i added the path of phoenix, nothings shows when i hit firmware update. im using windows 7 64 bit and phoenix 2010

  5. If want to install the sis file it sais certification failure failurecode: 2153775105
    I don’t have any mods installed on my phone and it isn’t flashed
    what could cause the problem?

  10. I am trying Gallery mod pack, but it does not seems to be working.
    Why we need to delete to .cre and .txt file after installing it through sis file?

    I have a hacked phone, can you provide me 200009FE.txt, so that I can try directly putting it under c:\private\10202be9 folder?

  13. hi i hv installed ur mod pack .. n now the prob is tht .. if we use dialer in landscape mode and turns it to potrait mode thn dialer hides .. secondaly i hv uninstalled the mod .. but still m getting gallery in folder mod so kindly help me to get gallery in the same way it was earlier…

    1. you need to copy the default cre to the same folder if you have hacked ur phone.
      Otherwise, I can’t do it for you at the moment, sorry…

      ps I don’t have any problem with the dialer..

  16. i hv not hacked my phone ,, after log pressing power switch i got my screen saver back .. .. n i just need tht gallery look like it was earlier … so do u hv ne solution ?? thnx

      You don’t even deserve an answer, but I’m used to people like u who just want things done as quick as they need them to be, so here’s your answer:
      I already answered you twice, you have some problems which are not dued to my mods! if your phone is not hacked then create a sis with the default cre (which you can create by converting the .txt default files with centrepconv) and install it.

      1. I’m agree wit u, faenil. U don’t even ask donation for this mod. That’s was good enough! BTW, I think u should put ‘Do With Your Own Risk’ or something like that on above post.

    I tried to install this on my N8,, which doesnt have any hacks or mods. And when i tried it and right at the middle of the installation it stops and a message pops up saying that (UnAble to install a protected application from an untrusted supplier)

    What can I do….I already signed the sis. I dont know why i am getting that.What would you recommend?

    I’ve instaled the mods since you first started and I’m loving em. I have a question tho. Is it at all posible to make the FULL 100% camera mode widescreen format instead of 4:3 ? AND would it be possible to add a RESET option when shutting down????

  22. Oh…just had another thought. I’ve not yet been able to find a full screen picture dialler for the N8. Is it possible to modify the contact scoller so that it can appear on one of the homepage screens as a FULL screen service with MUCH more than just 20 contacts?

  24. Hey Faenil just wondering there are 2 camera options when installing the “Picture quality 95% and Sound…” and the “CAF…” which of the two adds the 30FPS function and lowers the bitrate? (i’m hoping its packaged with the CAF option because id prefer not to have the 30fps and yet have the PQ95)

    1. fps&bitrate and picture quality must be in the same mod because they set the same file…if they were presented in the installation list as two different mods, you would have not been able to put a tick on both of them, thus causing bugs to people who usually skip my warning messages (90%)

  26. Excuse me, but I have a couple of questions:

    1. Do the mod packs here provide all the tweaks given by the whole H2O pack, or are there some tweaks which are not included here? I’m most interested in the increase of the max volume in the MediaPlayer and the full system access (it’s not clear to me if it’s available in the mods here)

    2. Is there a way to customize the mod packs on our own? Of course, credit goes to you for the creation of the mod. Though, I am interested in changing a few of the tweaks to suit what I feel is better for my needs (specifically the FPS in the UI mod, since it doesn’t really change anything, and the location of the Browser cache mod for testing purposes)
