  6. Hi Faenil, I observe that it is not possible to zoom using media browser.. I shifted recently from DDIG3 indian firmware and I could zoom while I was on that.. is there a way this could be solved? Anyone who’s faced a similar issue and found a work-around, please help.. since Faenil’s probably on study leave 😉

    new mediabrowser versions have doubletapping zoom 😉

  7. Hi, i have problem with Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.40. When I start it up after the installation the “I agree” and on the language selection menu the “next” areas of the touchscreen do not respond. I can choose the languages but cannot confirm by tapping the “next” area. Do you have any ideas what am I doing wrong (I am on yours superb n2o3 base, english). Thanks in advance!

    i have flash to n203 from indian fw DDIG3. in the original fw the battery life was very good but after i flashed to n203 the battery life becomes very poor. what i should do to increase battery life. otherwise the n203 is great. very fast and responsive. pls not that i do not have task3d and 3d nav.

    I have very good battery life…about 4 days and half…follow the guide about battery life in tutorials section 😉

    Hi, I’m an Indian user too and I’ve shifted recently to n203.. I too used to get amazing battery life on the DDIG3 fw.. people wouldn’t believe I would get more than a week on a single charge with low-moderate usage.. but that’s the truth.. now that I’ve shifted to n203, yes, I do find a slight dip in the battery life.. not too much.. now I get around 4-5 days.. I would attribute this mainly to the kastors and other stuff.. to save up battery, you could do the usual stuff like switch off sensors, turn off GPS if you dont use it, dont unnecessarily scan for wlan, change network mode to GSM, reduce screen brightness to minimum etc.. Hope this helps..

    I think 4-5 days is WONDERFUL for this type of phone…

  11. i have recently flashed to n203. i have one problem, when i see photos in the gallary there is message saying “memory full, delete some application”. i have only 80 photos in gallary.what does that mean i what i need to do? i dont have this problem when using original fw. i had almost 200 photos in the gallary at that time when using orignal fw. there was nothing like ‘memory full’. pls help..

    I just to commend you for n203 modded firmware for Samsung i8910. Coming from you competitors modded firmware, yours is simply remarkable and effective. Quite hesitant at first but I’m glad I switch. Removing those less used applications in the phone makes it more clean and simple.

    Hope to see more of your modded firmware soon.

  18. downloaded that patch, installed, rebooted, and then took video –> sync prob but thats ok anyway coz first vid after reboot –> took 2nd vid AND STILL OUT OF SYNC 😥 👿 anyone have idea whats going on??

    Check the camera FW with *#3333# and Options –> Camera FW Version Check,
    and let me know which version you have…

  19. My dear friends I have a problem with Route 66. It run regularly but when I push “show shortcut” it is crashing and closing. I remove and reinstall it but I don’t solve the problem . Please , give me a solution.

  20. Hi Faenil, I noticed that the TELEPHONE icon is not present in the full page and navigator bar in the home screen themes. I mean, how can I dial any numbers other than in my contacts. Hope you can address this issue.

    I have one problem .. when recovering the backup from PC Studio .. all items are transferred to the Phone (contacts,calendar ..) except the Messages !

    note: I have hard reset the device b4 and after installing the FW.

    unfortunately there are always problems when using backups made with PCStudio, with every firmware 🙁
    I can’t help you since I don’t use backups though 🙁

  22. ok solved it….. but found little annoying bug here on n2o3.. when you are in mediabrowser and open a picture, its unclear. and then u zoom it and then zoom out, it becomes clear like it should. could you faenil please check this if it is bug or just mine 🙄

    I think it’s just yours… 🙂 It doesn’t happen to me and I think people would have gone crazy if that would happen to everybody 🙂

    i m new user of Samsung Omnia HD..i bought it from US but em using it in other region… i wana know if i install your custom rom … after that am i able to install the latest and official update firmware ?? or is there any latest official firmware which has have Kinetic Scrolling.. Kastor effects as fast as your custom rom has… good image quality & vdo recording @ 24fps ?? thanx in advance 😉

    I can’t tell you if you will be able to update…but I think you will…if there will ever be any new update from Samsung.
    KS was first introduced in IL2 if I’m not wrong…
    Kastor effects–> You will not find faster kastor effects anywhere else atm 😉
    24fps –> You will never have this in official firmware

  24. hello, nice work, but all firmwares, don’t have the samsung download app folder. Is it so impossible to install it?

    seems like that…samsung is not willing to release a standalone package…and the one included in JD1 was bugged (image loading error -1) so I had to remove it…

    firmware version is XXIF9.. i dont remember the custom firmware version… 🙁 when i used PC suite to update firmware it always says your cellphone is up to date… 🙁 there’s no official update :(..

    Gallery isn’t supposed to search E:\Movies , but it does. 😕
    still got problem with some java games like doodlejump 🙁 or NFS undercover.
    and the ringtone sucks! Message tone is nice but the sound is low and if u put the profiles sound loud ,ringtone will make u deaf! 😯

    there is a mistake in the changelog…we can’t tell gallery where to look, we can only tell it where NOT to look (gps folder and other softwares folders)
    Java games: those games are not made to run on i8910…they use different API. not firmware fault. You have to use a nokia to play those
    Ringtone: lots of people (including me) loves that ringtone, if you don’t like it just download another one 😉 where’s the problem? ^^
    about sms sound: sorry about that…sms ringtone is a bit low, yeh

    So as a suggestion for future firmwares it would be great if u put a folder which video player looks into and gallery doesn’t . u know I put bunch of episodes of lost , simpsons , etc and it fills my gallery !
    everything else is just perfrect !

  34. ciao faenil, volevo ringraziarti del tuto ottimo lavoro, la tua è la prima rom che flasho e ho scelto la tua proprio xkè le istruzioni e le spiegazioni mi sembravano le + kiare :-)…
    ora però ho un problema, prima di effettuare il flash ho creato una copia di backup del telefono con symbiantool, dopo aver flashato però lo stesso programma mi dice :”no symbian plugged in!!!” ovvero non mi riconosce il telefono!!!!!, ho perso tutti i dati?, si può fare qualcosa?… grazie x l’aiuto!!!

    prova a chiedere a jined…mi sembra l’abbia scritto lui il programma, non so che dirti ^^

    yes you have to flash the chinese pack…but there were some problems with the input method of chinese pack, but chinese testers told that you can use Baidu Input…
    so just flash n2o3, flash chinese pack, and install baidu input 😉

Hi Faenil, i have a little question. you know when you are in musicplayer and you tilt the phone there comes that album thingy, you know that 😀 is there any way to disable that? via patch or something? i find that annoying xd nokia musicplayer is great just because it doesnt have that album thing. it just makes that normal music-control screen go landscape. hope you understood what i meant 🙄 same in short words: is possible to port 5800 musicplayer in our i8910?

    I tried to import the 5800 music player many times, unfortunately I did never have success 🙁

    Ho installato la tua rom e devo dire che una scheggia è lenta a confronto, però ho notato sui filamti hd che faccio sempre a mia figlia che scatta dopo una trentina di secondi. Naturalmente salvo i file sulla memoria del telefono. Se spengo il telefono e lo riaccendo il filmato che faccio non scatta +. Hai una soluzione? un saluto
    ps handy shell non parte + in automatico sai dirmi il motivo?

    non so sinceramente perchè ti scattano i video…scattano anche sul pc?
    per handyshell sicuramente basta reinstallarlo…

  40. è proprio il video fatto che scatta purtroppo me ne accorgo perchè quando schiaccio il tasto di stop il filmato si ferma con un secondo di ritardo. Per quanto riguarda handy shell l’ho riinstallato dopo l’aggiornamento ma curiosamente lo devo lanciare ogni volta che accendo il telefono (tenendomi tutti i contatti salvati).

    che il video si ferma un secondo dopo che premi il pulsante è normale, perchè è il tempo di memorizzazione finale..
    per handy shell, sono quasi sicuro che devi aver sbagliato qualcosa…

    Question to anyone: I installed the Spb mobile shell over n2o3 but the shell crashes whenever i switch to landscape to type anything (eg. text msg, appointment name, etc.). A ‘loading’ msg pops up and then after the text is typed, i find out i’m back to the old menu and spb isn’t running anymore. Does anyone have a fix or know what the problem is? Thanks!

    I don’t know exactly what could cause that problem…but I can tell you that I don’t have that problem…check if you have the latest version of SPB shell installed…

  43. I will only say just improve battery performance in ur next fw. I dont want anything now. I have almost everything in n2o3 fw. Also there is still one bug in camera. When I try to shoot in lowlight or indoor with dull lights, many times on auto mode with flash in auto mode, images come with pretty dull. But if I click the same photo again with same conditions then it comes pretty bright. Whats this anomaly?

    that is not a bug…low light conditions photos are always much worse than daylight photos…
    that is because of the mobile camera…
    you can’t make have better photos than those…
    about battery life, I made all the optimizations I knew. I get 5 days…

  46. I’ve just installed n2o3 with Chinese localization on my i8910 and it is very fast.
    Just a pity not able to use the built-in Cangjie input method. Hope that n2o4 would solve this problem.

    Baidu acquired Dayhand so both input methods should be the same…I personally prefer Dayhand though. Any sis files with 19-cap should work (but not Mr.Milk version sorry…he included lots of European languages but removed Chinese 🙁 )

    I will try to solve it in n2o4…

    gallery > images&video still search all folders on mem not just video and images! 🙁 Is ther any patch to fix this please? ❓

    there is no way to tell the gallery where to look…we can only tell gallery where NOT to look…
    we can only exclude folders of other softwares…and I excluded some gps softwares and some other softwares….

    if you read the changelog, there is a mistake in there…the sentence about gallery and mediabrowser should only be referred to mediabrowser, which only looks in /images and /videos folders
