  2. Urm possibly not the common name. I mean when you press the app-manager button on the phone you could see all active applications either as a carousel or in grid view. 3D-app-manager is maybe the correct term? 🙂

    Just download the nordic version with 3D Task manager 🙂 and you’ll have it ^^

    I am missing the fuctionality to enable/disable alarms. As it is now it seems you have to remove an alarm if you do not want it to be active. Am I missing something (again) or is it a bug?

    it’s just not there in JC1…bugs don’t make strings and options disappear guys…
    if you click on a thing and it doesn’t happen, that is a bug..
    but if one thing is not there, it just means that is a different version of the software…

  6. Hey!!! its not bout fring but VOIP…its a serious issue actually and plenty of ppl looking upto u!!! cant install voip audio ser…thats why no audio during VOIP calls!!!!

    Uhm, I have alarm disable option and also Delete alarm option. Can’t tell why you don’t have it in yours…

  9. I just found a some bugs on the chinese firmware.

    1) when battery run flat while using bluetooth connection as a modem, the phone keeps restarting itself and I need to remove the battery to disconnect it.

    This could be true…but you have to try with official JC1 as well…I didn’t modify antything about bluetooth…can’t be my fault…

    2) the respond on the upper right corner icon which is showing the connection status does not seems to be responsive.

    This has been unresponsive in EVERY firmware…This is because the the touchscreen chip is a medium-bad quality one…so it is unresponsponsive at the edges (sides and corners) 😉

    3)After I have reload by backup sms into the phone, I cannot access some of the message. (cannot open the message)

    Backups are not sure to work from a firmware to another one due to technical reasons…that is normal…by the way lots of friends of mine reloaded backups of sms, but it was not easy…so it works 🙂

    I remember you having a problem with your phone, which is when you plug it into your pc it does not ask for connection method, it just says ‘charging’. I have the same problem. did you ever find a solution to this problem?

    Yes I sent it to Samsung, they sent it back TWICE saying they had repaired it, but they actually hadn’t…
    the third time I got it repaired…
    I waited for my i8910 from 12th January to 18th March…

    Oh no…., I cant live without my phone for that long.
    Is the warranty still valid after putting on a cooked firmware(I have your n202 firmware 😀 )
    or do you have to put some samsung fimrware on it? 😕
    If you do can you point me to a tutorial on how to put a samsung firmware back on.

    Some questions:

    Can you add some more video and audio codecs for the video player?
    Is it possible to switch the contacts menu when writing a sms? When I write a sms I switch my display to 90° and write it with the qwertz keyboard. But when I select the contact the display switches back to 0°

  13. Hey i have really bad battery problems on this FW. I full charged the phone @8pm, set an alarm and went to bed, woke up @6am and the battery was half dead from doing nothing?. There were no apps running and didnt have the side swipe navigation running either.. 🙁
    Used for 5-10 mins on the net and the battery was down to 2 bars

    on standard aussie FW i could get 2 days. Any ideas?

    1) you have a widget or some app which keeps the wifi connection open
    2) you battery’s dead 🙂

    try to make it discharge completely and then fully charge it again, and repeat for two or three times 😉

  14. How difficult is to get skype working cos fring quality is not acceptable at all? There must by a possility to get it to work?

  15. You will need to configure VOIP server but that is not included in firmware. Is it possible to ask samsung for them files? Already post to samsung support to ask them if they will include this in next firmware…

    that is not the same…we have VoipAudioSrv…
    there is something else missing….

    we don’t know what the real problem is…
    all s60 5th have VAS 2.0 (Voip Audio Server) which is required to run Skype..
    I don’t know what is missing..

    I tried your N2o2 firmware and really like it (very fast). The only problem is that the network connection (“E” with broken left and right arrows below it) constantly remains on the screen, and the carrier service (vertical line with a half-circle on top) does not appear on the screen at all? I already did a hard reset before and after flashing. Is there a solution to fix this? I really hope to get this fixed because I would like to use your firmware.

  19. Hey i fixed that battery problem. I changed a few settings that i found on the other forum and it worked WONDERS! 😉 . Ive only sent a few txts and a few mins video recording but over a full day its only lost 1 bar! very very happy now. Might i suggest you add a page up the top regarding battery life and you will have completely happy customers :mrgreen:

    “Tips to improve battery life
    1 menu>settings>connectivity>admin settings>packet data>packet data connection – change to “when needed”
    2 menu>settings>connectivity>video sharing>video sharing – change to “off”
    3 menu>settings>connectivity>wireless lan>options>settings>show WLAN availability – change to “Never”
    4 menu>settings>connectivity>wireless lan>options>settings>Internet connectivity test – change to Ask every time
    5 menu>settings>connectivity>wireless lan>options>settings>options>advanced settings>TX power level – change to “10 mW”
    6 menu>settings>connectivity>wireless lan>options>settings>options>advanced settings>Power saving – change to “Disabled”
    7 menu>tools>location>positioning>positioning methods untick integrated gps (I do use the sat nav function on my phone, however I do not use it that often as the majority of places (work, home, friends house, girlfriends house etc) I know and do not require the sat nav. It is easy enough to activate the internal gps if I need sat nav just repeat the steps and tick integrated gps)”

  20. Hey there!!! Awesome firmware…but the problem is that I cannot get to use fring!!! it starts and then tries to connect with WLAN and bang, QUITS!!! i use fring for skypeout calls!!! I hope you can help me, as this is really dreadfull for me!!! i used to call normally when on orignal samsung firmware when i bought omnia hd last may!!!!

    Is it possible to flash the modem only, whitout changing the firmware? I just figured out that I have ja1 modem. I would like to have jc1, but wouldn’t like to flash everything. Can you please advise how I could flash modem only.

    yes just download only the modem…you can find it on hyperx’s webiste, dunno where…
    btw, It’s not necessary to flash from JA1 to JC1…

  23. Hey!!! am on LIT firmware, wanted to ask how am i supposed to use kastor effects, u say that with new kastor effects but do i have to download them from somewhere and place them in the right directory??? coz i activated the path and re-enabled the 3d settings but no kastor effects!!

  24. @Rahat45 here is a solution to ur question.
    1. Take your phone’s sim card out and plug the battery back in.
    2. Start the phone up.
    3.Press the telephone icon.
    4. Type in *#7284#
    5.If Modem USB has this next to it[*] Press number 2 So the[*] symbol is next to PDA USB.
    6.Press * to exit then press exit again to come out of the phones settings.
    7.Power the phone down, put your sim card back in and reboot the phone.
    8.Re-connect the cable.

    THAT IS:
    [1] MODEM USB
    [2] PDA USB[*]
    [3] MODEM UART
    [4] PDA UART[*]

    IT SHOULD WORK..

FW Lit V2!!!! i mean that there is no kastor effect whatsoever in LiTv2, i want to ask that as soon as I flash ur firmware KASTOR effects are active?? i flashed it but there are no effects,i tried by applying the patch and then re-enabling the 3-D navigation from settings but no effects are visible!!!!!!!
    Do i have to download and place them in the right directory to view kastor effects?? i hope you understand!!

    Check that you have kastors activated in Settings –> Personal –> Themes–> General –> “name of the theme” –> Options –> Theme Effects —> ON
    btw I suggest you to flash the n2o3 which I’ll be releasing in some minutes

    I am using n203 and set it to use full page as the home screen theme (6 icons on top and 2 on bottom). How can I access the DIALER pls ?

    is there a way to create a shortcut on one of the icons ?

  31. hey faenil, absolutely brilliant firmware, only issue I have is u can’t install “360ting” but apart from that everything s fine.

    Also the text file for the compression quality settings, 10282EDC.txt, i changed the mime type to tiff and extension and removed “compressionquality” on every single image string, then followed your guide to create a patch with siscontents and installed it, and absolutely nothing happened, I also tried c2z patch and nothing happened. So I’m not sure but I’ve came to the conclusion that txt file is for backwards compatibility or Nokia’s only because it has done nothing. If you can get back to me and let me know your thoughts that’d be brilliant.

    P.S. Best firmware I’ve ever used, keep up the good work

    mate you need patch4ttpod to install and use 360ting, it’s not like in n2o or n2o2, where you had all files preinstalled…
    about the .txt, you had no changes because maybe the modifications you made were not accepted by the system…try changing only the compression quality from 100 to 60, and you’ll see a big change (make same photo of course)

    I don’t know if this is a bug issue or not but I’ve noticed that on the new firmware when someone tries to use the help feature of the phone of any program, when you press help a message appears ‘system error,
    Can you try to resolve this is as I do have a program that I need to view the help file for it, but the help feature is not working on this firmware

    The firmware I must also say is the best i’ve seen on this device up to date.
    Keep up the good work.

    Hope you will be able to resolve the Help ‘system error’ issue.

  33. Hi, i have n2o3 firmware flashed. It is nice 🙂
    But I cannot reinstall Adobe Reader (i purchased newer version 2.5.496). Phone says Actualisation failed. I tried install also by switched off all patch in rompatcher – but the same result.
    The same was also in HyperX V3. 🙁 but HyperX wrote, it is fixed in V4.
    Any sugestion? Can you fix it?

    what’s songID? if you’re referring to trackID, I think it has to be installed via rom cooking

  37. I used to be able to keep the music palyer going while using camera and Garmin. Is this possible for i8910? Please consider for future release!

    Also, i tried installing dayhand for chinese input on the apr. 18th release of n2o2. Initially, i installed the wrong dayhand package meant for non-touch phone. After uninstalling it, installation of other dayhand packages was not possible, error message from the phone was “A dayhand package is already installed”.

    Lastly, thank you for putting so much work into the i8910 community!

    to install dayhand on n2o2, you must uncheck the option “Chinese package” 😉 And it’ll wok ok 🙂
    about the music player and camera running at the same time, it is not possible in i8910, music will stop if you start the camera 😉

  39. Cant get the facebook app to find a connection this is the only app that has this issue all the others find a connection. Also the nokias photo browser doesnt bring the pics up they show the grey squares as if they are there but nothing comes up even if I leave it running for hours they pics are on the memory card, just like it has been for all firmwares I have tried

    tried both of them, both work ok 🙂

    i always flash the firmware on three phones, the musicplayer issue was gone after reflashing, songid is also working. thanks for your reply!
    i found a new problem with your firmware that can be found on all of the flashed mobiles:
    when i open ferarri gt hd the phone hangs ups and becomes unresponsive…it’s hard to play…
    this is new in comparison with n2o2.

    I re-flashed my phone after formatting drive E, and didn’t load the messages from backup.
    Now the messages app is working.

    backups are always a pain…and they never work if made with PcStudio

  46. hey faenil, i Know ur busy with ur exams and all, but why when installed threadsms lite, the pics of the bubbles appear in the gallery with wallpapers, photos etc? Isn’t it supposed to look only in E:/Images??

    we can only tell the gallery where NOT to look, we can only exclude folders unfortunately…
    this means there will always be pictures of other softwares, coz we can’t exclude all the folders of every software for i8910…

    1) *#1234# , the BP is the modem version
    2) Java is the FIXED one, the fastest we have for i8910, faster than Nokia 2.1

    I’m really looking forward to flashing my mobile with your latest firmware. But, I need to know one thing. If I backup my phone through PC Studio 7, will I be able to restore all my messages, phonebook, music etc.. after flashing? I mean, will it be enough to plug in my phone and go to restore option in PC Studio?
    If not, how can I backup all thet important to me and how t restore it later?

  49. ciao faenil ti devo chiedere alcune cose per il task3d, vorrei metterlo ma senza che si veda all’avvio:
    come si chiama e dove si trova l’eseguibile del task 3d?
    è già contenuto in z ma non è messo in autostart vero?
    si potrebbe fare come fa HX per evitare che il task3d parta in background? so che installando la sua patch sis ti si crea una cartella in C: con un nome del tipo 123456789 e dentro un’altra cartella o file con scritto autostart
    sai spiegarmi meglio?

    cmq la rom è velocissima complimenti vivissimi, tra l’altro è più integra e mi da meno problemi di riavvi strani o simili 🙂

I noticed a problem with one of the apps I use – WWIGO (Webcam whereever I go).. earlier when I was on DDIG3, it could easily connect via wifi and use my phone as a webcam, where as now that I’ve shifted to n203, I can never seem to connect the phone via wifi.. dont have a bluetooth dongle yet, so cant try that method.. can anyone help me on this?
    or is there a better webcam app that I can replace this with which works on n203?

    You could try mobiola…by the way, that problem is strange
