  2. the current FW is a satisfactory for me so try to surprise us, lool, but the cracker would be A “Continuous AutoFocus” in Video Recording… if that is even possible and hopefully not a hardware issue … thanks for your efforts bro

  3. I think that you can include this last founds from Hyper-X, you two guys delivery good cooked roms and i think that you two should work together and not in a war, but in real life it’s different.

    At least include resco-photo viewer, because the app is wonderful.

    the problem is that hyperx said many times that he wants to be ALONE…I already told this so many times and you keep on asking…

  6. Il firmware attuale è quasi perfetto. Giusto qualche dettaglio da curare, ad esempio il fatto che nella versione ks accedendo al menu ci si ritrovi con soli due pulsanti sotto… so che è un retaggio del 5800 ma se si potesse fare qualcosa sarebbe notevole.
    A questo punto però penso che, magari dopo una release con tutte le tue nuove scoperte, potresti buttarti su symbian^3, visto che nel frattempo un qualche dispositivo che lo monta sarà già uscito….

    Ah… un modo per implementare le API relative al VOIP che samsung non vuole rilasciare! Potrebbe essere una ricerca interessante e utile!

    per symbian^3, al momento il codice non è neanche completo…e inoltre imparare il C++ del symbian (che non è quello base) ci vuole un sacco di tempo…

    una sarebbe una cosa che ha annunciato quell’altro… la velocità in apertura delle cartelle con molti programmi dentro
    (che a me sembra sia anche proporzionale alla dimensione dei programmi a cui le icone appartengono, ad esempio la mia cartella giochi ci mette davvero svariati secondi per mostrare solo 10 icone di giochi e 2 sottocartelle)

    l’altra è impossibile… ma la butto lì 🙂
    ehmm… voip nativo? 😎

    guarda c’è più probabilità che accada la seconda che la prima…entrambe molte vicine allo 0

    3 qualche hack integrato…tipo rom liamster…
    per il resto io credo che la tua rom sia perfetta in tutto..grazie faenil e buon lavoro!

    Multi Touch with one finger.
    Symbian 3 or 4 or Android Cimarron flavor, if avaiable.
    Bugs many bugs of all kinds and shapes your Rom,s are dead booring.

  16. 1.) A folder called “Connections” in root-menu (perhaps with a nice icon)
    2.) Change the following sound-amplitudes:
    *#0002*28346#
    ————-
    Voice Call
    Handset Tx MicAmp 12
    Handsfree Tx MicAmp 18
    Rx PreDR 6
    Rx VRx2ARx 0
    3.) If possible change the non removeable “Realplayer” in “My Media” to “Notes”
    4.) A possibility to exchange the shortcuts in homescreen (e.g. Messages to Free-iSMS)
    5.) Please disable the volume-keys in homescreen so that the keytone-volume and the touch-vibration can only be changed via settings in profiles!
    6.) No more ugly yellow memcard-symbol in homescreen please
    7.) Perhaps you can also work out a possibility to change default applications?
    8.) A folder called “Seldom used” or “Trash” into “Tools” with a nice icon
    These are only suggestions!
    Stay the nice guy that you are – I am already satisfied with LITv2.

A me piacerebbe che samsung rilasciasse tutte le specifiche delle implementazioni che non sono roba di symbian foundation e che tutti possano maneggiare ciò su cui ora non è possibile mettere le mani…per il resto non penso si possa migliorare tutto quello che hai già fatto per noi (a parte le piccole modifiche che vedo che hai risolto in prima pagina) 😉

  19. Better battery time pls…. Now 18-20 hs, its tooo small… With the ROM original from Samsung it 72 hs…


    it’s not n2o2’s fault…I have 3 days and more…it depends on how you use it …you could also need to fully discharge and recharge the battery two-three times…

    You’ve made a great firmware with more-less no bugs!
    For the next version (I know some are not possible):
    1) Remove the few bugs (I’ve noticed just one – when I have a missed call and go to the List, there is no green phonesymbol, I have to go to options and then voice call)
    2) I want the four icons in the menu back – maybe in 3D 😛
    3) Let the memory-card icon stay where it is
    4) Integrated conversations app (in messages)
    5) Free phonetorch app (like in hypers v4)
    6) Free up some more space on c (f.e. more language packs with less languages in one package)
    7) Folder opening faster with many icons (hyperx mentioned something on his blog)
    8) Auto rotating keyboard (dayhand is not really perfect…) would be the most important for me

    1)Never heard about this…I’ll look into it 🙂
    2) You can’t have them 😛

    6) no man…you can’t ask me this…localizations take 90% of the time, and now you want more packages with less languages? oh gosh…

    FM Transmitter(Updated): It’s there! But it was not developed for the phone. It was considered in early product planning phase, however, due to strict regulations in some regions as Samsung was targeting global launch, it was removed. Samsung has low end handsets which have FM Transmitting, but those product are developed to support FM Transmitting. FM transmitting was never advertised by Samsung.

    I pray every day someone like you can write the program that can enable it for us.

    Sure I would like to be able to remove widget’s without having to reset the widget list and manually deleting them in c and e widget folder but if you can make the fm transmitter work you will be the 1 and only god 😉

    I can’t write software, I know C and bit of Java, but Symbian C++ is a completely different and complex thing…
    widgets are included in the gadget.swf —> None has been able to modify it at the moment (only images)

    1. Contacts on left swipe (3d Nav)
    2. Joker Rain effects.
    3. .sis files for pan focus and auto focus on video mode so we can change it whenever we want to 🙂
    4. Free phonetorch app with widget linked to it.
    5. different versions for no ks and ks on menu.

    That’s all I’ve got atm 🙂

  24. Very happy with your n2o2 firmware. If you could get dictionary to work, ability to turn camera sound’s on/off, pause music or video when phone is face down I would be delighted. Continuous focus in video mode would be great but I don’t think it’s possible. KS (in menu) & non-KS version’s would also be great. Whatever you implement I’m sure it will be a fantastic firmware. 🙂

    all of them have already been included in the new fw 😉
    apart from continuous focus ofc…

  27. n202 is perfect… kinetic scroll is perfect… wat else u gonna give… if u r talking abt apps then plz dont integrated conversation app in the msg… … if conversation, nimbuzz, fring, and skype u can give.. it will be awesome..

    i am too happy with my n202.. i might not upgrade to ur next one.. if u think i hav to update then tell me the extraordinary function which ur new firmware has…

    Here are a few things that I’d love to see in your next firmware. I am not sure how feasible it is, but it’s my wish list:

    1. be able to change default handling application for different files:
    – i.e. use opera mobile instead of default web for opening url
    – use the video player instead of real player to view movie files

    2. Autofocus DURING video recording

    3. Integrated conversation app in messaging

    4. User choosable app for 3D nav app

  32. i think your firm is great, there are only two things that i miss:

    1- automatically change the keyboard to qwerty on landscape and T9 on portrait

    2- a way to restore the contacts backup without getting them duplicated

    if u manage to figure this out U’RE THA MEN!!

  34. I’m on N2O with KS in menu fw, and it’s the longest I’ve stayed in any fw lol 😆

    1) Continuous AF like Vivaz

    2) Better indoor shots under low light (shots get blurred many times. I compare to N95, it actually produces sharper shots more often than i8910!)

    3) Better shots with flash (not over/under exposed)

    I think these are difficult tweaks ya? 😆
    But it would really complete the i8910 for me…

    1) mmm
    2) N95 has Carl Zeiss lens…
    3) That is due to the settings you use…there is not a “best” setting…

    1. better bettery life – if possible
    2. in finger mode events,appointments – option to select at least for 3 days ahead.

  37. faenil bro, plz remove the quick office software so that we can install the new updates of quick office easily,that conversion app in messaging,ur navigation bar homescreen does not have transparent icon unlike hyperix [ it eats the wallpaper],it is because u r using the older version. plz try the new one. and plz dnt use a wallpaper of snail. its gut wrenching[ hiiiiiiii]. hey wat about choosing a wallpaper of ur fan’s choice. this will also help us to share our wallpaper collecton,with each other and one more thing bro. can u use any theme created by any author coz they r free?

  39. I’m loving n2o2, best fw ever out! 🙂 with getting the extended sensor settings and dictionary back i’m almost tempted to flash new future release. If you could get smart search and communities back, at least with separate installable files, i would be way too happier than now am. 🙂 and of course the possibility to use opera mobile instead of the lamer built in browser and videoplayer instead of the lamer realplayer would be just awesome! 🙂

  40. ciao faenil noto con disappunto che pochi richiedono una tastiera decente anche se l’attuale dayhand non é per niente un gran che (in nessuna versione ) mi piacerebbe davvero una tastiera tipo quella bianca in portright ma + funzionale e quella originale in landscapescape. Per il resto tutto ok. Ciao a pre sto

    I come from Taiwan.First, thank you to provide such good FW for I8910 users.
    But could you add Taiwan language into the new FW?
    Because HK input method dose not fit Taiwanese.
    Your FW version is the fastest one I’ve ever seen, so i like it very much and hope that you can include the Taiwan language into your new FW.
    Finally thanks again.

    Show me that lots of people need taiwanese, and I’ll include it…otherwise…I have to concentrate my time on other things 😉

  43. Is there anything to do about battery performance ? After moden (I8910XXJB1) file update i have to charge battery every day. Only couple phone calls and sms. That’s all.

    I get 3,5day with lots of sms…
    take into account that phone’s battery lasts for about 3h CALLS (THIS IS THE SPECIFIC) so if you make two hours call in one day, it is normal that the battery lasts one day…

  44. Da felice utilizzatore di questa rom credo che di più non si possa avere a parte i cubi blu nella home e il dizionario fixato. Per me è già stata raggiunta la perfezione per questo terminale, se non si considera la scarsa autonomia della batteria.

    1) cubi blu : è buggata dai…non chiedetemi di implementare bugs…
    2) dizionario ok 😉
    3) scarsa autonomia ma dove? hai presente quanto dura un terminale del genere? il mio amico col toshiba tg01 arriva quasi a mezza giornata!! e tutti si lamentano che l’i8910 dura SOLO 2 giorni…mah… 🙂

    icone nokia al posto di quelle base

    2) tema def : no perchè non piace a tutti
    3) ita: si vedrà
    4) la puoi installare..
    5) opera: devo vedere…
    6) le puoi mettere da te (la n2o2 è l’unica rom con cui puoi cambiare le icone della widget hs 😉 ) basta sostituire il file in C:Icons

    What I observed while using this fw is that the first few units of battery-meter drop very quickly, then the very last one takes at least as much time as the first six altogether did (one day with the first six ones then another (a whole day) with the last one!!!. So the battery time is good indeed, only the way it is being processed should be changed. Faenil? 🙂

    1) right about first few units –> don’t know how to solve it atm…
    2) Nice to know that battery time is good…as it is in my phone…lots of people are saying they get low battery time

    It would be fine, if you bring out at FIRST english version with multilingual qwerty keyboard and T9 support…
    We could use your rom from the very beginn then, and localisations could follow later…
    so if so many of us use your rom, there is much more chance to find bugs if there should be some…

    And add not much stuff, that cause confusion and cluttered rom with things one use very seldom or never at all…

    You could not satisfy us all

    I have a surprise regarding localizations 😉

  48. can you integrate “shake to turn on loudspeaker when in a call” feature? it was present in an early hx release. very usefull when driving…

    i am very satisfied with your n2o2 fw, till now i thought if i want speed i have to give up stability (hx fw)… not anymore…

    that feature is bugged…so I won’t import it…it doesn’t always work (that’s why hx removed it)

    2. Better photo quality, this is very important (maybe some camera mods for better quality of picture)
    3. Photo-Contacts, 3Dnav, 3Dtask
    4. Cube-Widget Bar
    5. Conversation App as default message app
    6. New widgets
    7. Maybe some new optimizations for better speed, battery life
    8. Simply 5 MB more Disc space on c:\ integrated
    9. And of course more and more usefull things ;D
