[FOR NON-NOKIA USERS] Finally, Install nokia packages without any worry! :)

Hey guys, look what I just discovered?

I have created a patch for RomPatcher+ to let you install all Nokia packages which usually gives you the “Only for Nokia devices error” on your i8910 or SE! πŸ™‚

You don’t need any software or difficult methods to install Nokia packages…just apply the patch using rompatcher and you’re done! πŸ˜€

Copy the patch to the patches folder (E:/patches/ most probably) and apply it and set it to auto! πŸ™‚

In my opinion, this patch is essential and it’s a musthave for any non-nokia users!

I’ll spread it over some forums πŸ˜‰

Feel free to spread it too, but please keep the credits both in your post and in the rmp! πŸ˜‰

UPDATE 06/12: UNIVERSAL PATCH

EDIT: I REPLACED RMP FILES WITH ZIP ONES, SO THAT YOU WON’T HAVE PROBLEMS DOWNLOADING THEM πŸ˜‰

  1. Hi Faenil, (or anyone else)

I see you made a patch for RomPatcher+ which is just what I need but I do not know exactly how to install/use the patch.
“Nokia SIS patch by faenil for Samsung Symbian phones”.

Do I save the patch as a normal ascii/txt to a file and copy it OR ???
If I save it to a ascii/txt file what does the name of the file need to be?

I know this must be a really easy thing, but I just cannot figure it out.

    Thanks in advance……

  2. I just noticed that this “Nokia SIS patch by faenil for Samsung Symbian phone” is sopposed to be a SIS file, but when I click to download it, it shows up as a plain text ascii/txt screen, download link does not download as a sis file……….

    Thanks

    1. this patch is only to let you install sis packages by nokia.
Nokia packages usually checks the MANUFACTURER of the phone (not model nor anything else)
my patch only patches the MANUFACTURER
so it will work for all the things which only check the manufacturer, such as Nokia sis packages

your phone will be recognised as Nokia i8910 πŸ™‚
(if you’re thinking about ovisuite, this patch is not enough, it needs lots of other configuration files)

  3. Thank’s Faenil for share your hard work πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    This patch is REALLY GREAT!

I’ll ask a help… How do I install the “Finger Use” on c:/ ? The aim is to change shortcuts (not only icons), and this is only possible with the “Finger Use” on the disk C: /.

    Cheers.

  4. How about some small list of installable and working apps, like OVI Store, Ovi Maps etc etc? πŸ˜‰

Newest Swype beta is installable AFAIK, but what about additional languages? I guess I’ll try it out myself some of these days πŸ™‚

    I guess you know what I mean…

All props and kudos for this fine patch!!!
