Do you want nav3d, task3d, both? it’s up to you, with n2o3 ;)

n2o3 is in betatesting phase guys πŸ™‚ Since there are many uncommon structural news, I’m going to make some posts about them, so that you’ll read them all (If I write them in the changelog none will notice them πŸ˜€ )

This is the way it works πŸ™‚

There is a software called powerboot developed by wirelesslabs, which lets you add processes at boot πŸ˜‰
Using this FREE software I am able to let you customize your firmware to whatever you want!!

Do you want TASK3D??
Download the n2o3_IWantTask3D kit πŸ™‚

Do you want NAV3D (photocontacts on the left) ?
Download the n2o3_IWantNav3D kit πŸ™‚

Do you want BOTH??
Download the n2o3_IWantTask3D&NAV3D kit!! πŸ™‚

Do you want the memory card icon??
Download the n2o3_IWantMemoryCardIcon sis file and install it πŸ™‚

Do you want to disable the Pre-Autofocus in video recording? (you need this to be able to record slow motion videos)
Download the n2o3_NoPreFocus sis file and install it πŸ™‚

INSTRUCTIONS FOR TASK3D, NAV3D, OR BOTH:
Once you have download the archive
1) install powerboot.sis and then the other .sis configuration file I have provided in the same drive where you installed powerboot πŸ™‚
Just as simple as that!! πŸ˜€

The only backdraw is that if you chose to use TASK3D, the task3d will popup when you switch the phone on, but I think this is not a problem πŸ™‚ just close it down or use it to switch to menu πŸ™‚ It could be useful as well πŸ˜€

  1. so i should not put the 3dtask niether the 3d navigation because it not eats but drinks ram..
also if n203 hav no 3dtask then it would be more speedy and stable than n202 or not.. isnt it…

also wat r the default kastors…

I think kastors are the fastest you’ve ever seen πŸ˜‰

  3. you will be upload sis for the international t9? πŸ™„ pleeease

yes there will be an international T9 special version πŸ˜‰
    spread the wooord πŸ™‚

  6. Your approach is pretty smart – create the base install and giving users the choice to install the extras. Thanks for putting this together. Looking forward to n203. (Am using n202 now, with Powerboot to enable/disable Nav3d).

PS – is there a way to change the photo naming to date rather than photo#?

I’m sorry I don’t know how to do that πŸ™‚

  7. Oh, how do you change the homescreen buttons in n2o2? There is a file for the icons – how is that changed? (What do I need to bring it back to the original samsung ones?)

    Thanks.

n2o2 is the only firmware in which you can change widget hs bottom icons, just by changing the file in C:/Icons…

to change fingeruse and other hs bottom icons, you’ll need to use c2z patch ( look here http://forums.samsungi8910omnia.com/samsung-i8910-themes-widgets-other-gui-graphical-modifications/8772-tutorial-change-icons-applications-finger-use-homescreen.html)

by the way, I’ll release an n2o3 version with standard samsung icons
    cheer

  8. Faenil, I finally did it! I’m now running on n203! Good job, man! One problem though, I cant run task 3D and Nav3D. I installed the Powerboot.sis, then n2o3_IWantTask3D&NAV3D on the same drive(E:) What do you think I did wrong?

start powerboot from applications and check that there are Z:/sys/bin/Nav3DApp.exe and Z:/sys/bin/TaskSwitcher.exe in the list…
if you applied the sis config file and they’re not there, let me know via support email and I’ll give it a look πŸ™‚ other people are using it, it works.. πŸ˜€

  9. Is there a patch to disable 3D nav?

Nav3D is not enabled by default in n2o3…
if you have installed the nav3d patch, just unistall it πŸ˜‰

  10. I know, I just want to try to disable 3Dnav in another FW by WS, I saw Liamseas did that for his FW.
If you didn’t made it before never mind, thanx for your more greater and greater improvement πŸ™‚
Your FW looks like it’s done by profesional team πŸ˜‰

I don’t understand your question… do you want me to disable 3dnav in a fw from another cooker? ^^

    Liam did what?

  11. Liam did made that patch but it was for older FW and doesn’t work with mine.
I just tought that you maybe made something like that for your FW, and that maybe I could use it it is for latest Wireless FW, now I’m just experimenting with different FW.
    Sorry for buging you πŸ™
    😳

np man πŸ™‚ I just don’t know how ws fw is done, so I can’t help you…

  12. hi everyone, and a big hello to a supreme cooker. πŸ™‚ I have been playing around with symbian phones for years and when i got my i8910 like most of us i was disappointed, then hyperx came along, and now you. I was convinced that his firmwares were best and maybe up until recently they were, however with no3 you have surpassed yourself. Well done mate, this is the quickest, best, most stable out there. πŸ™‚ Ps if you want to slow the kinetic scroll down or make contacts left swipe for the 3dnav after obviously using the patch above, it works on this firmware πŸ™‚

contacts can’t be put on leftswipe because every ks scrolling enabled app is bugged if used together with 3dnav, due to the fact that 3dnav has less priority in the os scheduler (imho)…
the result is that the system gets the tapping action with delay

    ————————————-
Essential is to learn to know your phone man πŸ™‚

    Menu/Settings/Phone Settings/Application Settings/Camera/General/Default filename – change to date.

No need for ccoks to ‘implement’ this, it’s already there…

    thanks bro… I really need your help here… πŸ™‚

  14. Greetings Sir Faenil,

About enabling the nav3d, I’ve managed to install the powerboot, had the Nav3d and taskswitcher on the list. but when I start installing the iWantNav3D.sis file, it shows update error. what seems to be the problem? thanks in advance for your kind answer. your hard work is very much appreciated. πŸ˜‰

    solved…

  16. Hi Faenil, great work bro. too bad i can’t use your fw (i can’t flash because of warranty for my hd).

I wanted to ask you, can i install task3d and nav3d on regular firmware as a sis file?

i know that it is not the way as you wanted to be used, but thanks for your answer.

well if you have a regular firmware you already have nav3d and task3d installed…
    if you have a pre-task3d firmware, no, sis installation won’t work ;
    )

  17. I installed the Pre-Autofocus patch, after I tried it I wanted to get back to the normal setting but i couldn’t find it in the app mngr, what should I do to uninstall it, thanks

if you installed my preautofocus patch you’ll find the Noprefocus app in the app manager…
